The USBF has been asked to send an Open team and a Women's team to the fourth SportAccord Mindsports games being held in Beijing, China Dec. 10-17, 2014.
The organizers have asked USBF to send an Open team that includes "world class" players. In order to comply with that request, the USBF Board sought early expressions of interest from top players and has nominated the Open team of Huub Bertens, Curtis Cheek, Vince Demuy, Justin Lall, Roger Lee, and John Kranyak. For the Women's team, the USBF will follow the procedure used in prior years: pairs will be asked to self-nominate themselves and the players who competed in the finals or won the USA2 bracket of the last 5 Women's USBCs choosing from the nominated pairs.
