George Jacobs has resigned as USBF President. The USBF Board of Directors elected Howard Weinstein to fill the remainder of Jacobs' term, and elected Sylvia Moss to fill the remainder of Weinstein's term as Vice President. We all thank George for his many years of service to USBF and bridge and welcome Howard as our new President.

USBF members Chip Martel and Jill Meyers have just been elected to the ACBL Hall of Fame - congratulations to both of you! By our count, Jill will be the 20th woman to be inducted into the ACBL Hall of Fame and Chip & Jan are the only living husband-wife pair in the Hall.

The USBF Board has now approved the 5 teams that qualified for the 2014 World Junior Championships, as well as the players whe were added to the four 4-person teams and the NPCs for the teams. The teams & their NPCs are:

The US Women's team finished third in the Women's team competition; the Open team finished fourth.
US pairs finished 8th, 9th & 10th in the Open and 4th, 8th & 10th in the Women's.
